This interview was done shortly after International Women’s Day. Its an interview with Gitta Ridder about her experience teaching Women’s Personal Safety (Wenlido) to women in India over a period of eight years. Ana and Gitta discussed the conditions for women in India and their efforts to improve their lives. Gitta described the challenges women face in India, the things that have been accomplished to improve women’s rights there and the things left to do.

We also talked about our experiences as mature women who lived through the Women’s Liberation Movement and what challenges women are facing in our current times, the impact of pop culture on women and our concerns about how far we haven’t come since the 60’s.
